Old and new activities

We had a wonderful day at our super saturday last month.  We had a great turn out and everyone made some darling crafts.

We are grateful for the ladies who came and did classes and demonstrations for us.

Charity Tingey gave us a great discussion on fitness and nutrition.  We learned a lot.

We had a hair demonstration by Beth Wright.  She showed us some darling hairstyles on her daughter Savannah and on Vicki Crosland's granddaughter.

Ann Nielsen led us in a wonderful discussion during lunch about family traditions.  We had a great time sharing traditions we do and learning from others and hearing their ideas.  Ann also shared a tradition they make on Christmas morning that were yummy pancake balls.  They were delicious.

Our last demonstration was learning to make some yummy food by Amalia Barajas with help from Kathy Stringham.  It was delicious and we learned a lot.

We really had a wonderful time and it was so nice to spend the day socializing and getting some crafts done.  Everyone brought some delicious desserts to share and we had soup made by the RS presidency and members of the board.

Our ward Christmas party will be held on Wednesday December 5 at 6:00 at the high school cafeteria.  We will be having soup.  It is always a fun time and we would love to see everyone there.

A look to the future on Tuesday January 8th we will be having a combined RS activity with the 1st ward.  This will be a really special evening.  It will be called 100 dresses after the children's book "The 100 dresses."  We will have a goal to collect as many dresses as we can (hopefully 100) to give to those who do not have dresses.  Prepare to come for a very special night, socialize with the ladies from our ward and the 1st ward and if you can donate a dress or skirt (adult, youth or child) it would be appreciated.  This will be a spiritual night, a night of learning and a night of service by helping out those in need who might not have a dress and cannot go to church.  It will also be a great night to get to socialize with each other.  We will have a dessert served and babysitting provided.  We really want this night to be special and hope to see everyone there.
