Morman Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert

Tickets are being requested for the Morman Tabernacle Christmas Choir right now (I was informed). I cannot go but my sister made me request tickets and if I get them (she informed me I had good luck or something) I had to give them to her. They are a random selection. You put your email info in and if you get selected you get up to four tickets. This year Alfie Boe (who sang on the Les Miserable 25th PBS production) and Tim Brokaw will be there. You can request tickets now up until Oct 22. The concert will be held on Thursday Dec 13, Friday 14 and Sat Dec 15 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday the 16 at 9:30 a.m. You put in your preference but get what you get up to four tickets. The link to register is http://www.lds.org/church/events/temple-square-events/2012-choir-christmas-concert?lang=eng I saw the First Presidency Christmas Devotional but it is already sold out. Hope this is helpful to all if you are wanting to go. You can always request the tickets and if you get them and can't go I'm sure find someone who wants to go. See if you are really lucky :)

Recipes for Saturday

If you are bringing a dessert for our Super Saturday lunch make sure to bring the recipe with it. We would love to add it to our RS recipe book. We will be talking about family traditions during lunch so a dessert that is a family tradition (during holidays or family parties) would be a fun one to bring--but not manditory. And if you can't bring a dessert still come too!!  Remember lunch will be served from 11 to 1 (and no I did not make the pie pictured above but it did come from a friend of mine who has her own cooking show on the cooking channel).

Hair Bows

Just a quick FYI...we originally said you could come any time and make free hair bows but we are going to be doing this as a class and combining it with the hair demonstration at 1:00.  If you are there for the class at 1:00 you can make a couple of free hair bows and learn a few fun hair styles for your daughter or granddaughter.

Also reminder we are doing lunch from 11:00 to 1:00.  The board will be providing soup and rolls.  During lunch we will be doing a family tradition class (while we eat).  If you want to bring a dessert of some sort that is a family tradition (at any holiday or family party) that would be great.  If not don't sweat it and just come.

We will have a nursery available this day too.  We really hope to see you there whether you signed up for a craft or not.  It will be a fun day to come and socialize, mingle and have a fun day.  Remember it is this Saturday...13th 9:00 to 4:00.
